The inaugural Cadillacs Under the Stars car show will be presented Saturday, Sept. 23 at Village Square Shopping Center at Fort Apache and Sahara avenues. Shown above is Colin McKinley’s 1917 Cadillac Type 55 Convertible Phaeton along with a 2017 Black on Black XT5 Cadillac.

A colorful car show entitled Cadillacs Under the Stars and sponsored by Findlay Cadillac will take center stage Saturday, Sept. 23 from 6-10 p.m. at Village Square shopping center at Sahara and Fort Apache.

Presented by the Cadillac & LaSalle Club of Las Vegas, the event is expected to draw as many as 100 Cadillacs. Free to the public, the event will feature classic Cadillacs, including new and modified entries that will be on display. The event is free to register and show a Cadillac.
Club president DR Rawson said the allure of the Cadillac automobile is unmatched.

“Cadillacs were once considered ‘The Standard of the World,” Rawson said. “Today, we can certainly say that they are the design of the design standard of the world. The average age of a buyer has gone down more than 10 years over the past five years.

“Cadillacs are just cool. The older ones go down the road like you’re on a floating pillow. The design is so distinctive. The most iconic car in the world is the 1959 Cadillac with its tail fins and bullet-like tail lights.”

Led by general manager John Saksa, Findlay Cadillac is part of Findlay Automotive Group founded in 1961 by the late Pete Findlay, whose son, Cliff, now oversees 31 dealerships in Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Idaho and Oregon.

“This show is really going to be an impressive gathering,” said Saksa. “Cadillac car shows are always fun, and this one will be especially impressive since it will be under the lights; thereby showing off the designs of the Cadillac.”

The Cadillac Club meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of every month at the Blue Ox at 5825 W. Sahara Ave. from 6-7 p.m.

Free to the public, the show will also feature music and raffle tickets supporting Toys 4 Smiles. Further information can be found by visiting or by calling 702-701-0378.
